It’s Thursday, which is basically the weekend as far as we are concerned.
What are you all up to? Here is what’s on our to-do list…
The first and third Thursday of the month our Hawthorne neighbor, Artichoke Music, has a Songwriter Roundup where songwriters can put their name into a hat to perform an original piece. Don’t play? No worries. With a $5 price tag it’s an affordable way to hear great music and support our local musicians.
7 pm, $5 artichokemusic.org
We are so excited for the Portland Night Market this Friday night! You can eat awesome food and shop from local artisans; and being in the Industrial District it’s a fun way to start your evening out on the town.

This Saturday marks the beginning of the Mt. Tabor neighborhood Art Walk. Art Walks are a fantastic way to explore different neighborhoods of Portland as well as support local artists.
Not that you needed to be reminded, but Portland is a beautiful city. However, being surrounded by nature can be easy to forget sometimes. A great way to take the scenic route is through a tour, and this Sunday there is a great one! Departing from Downtown, the Columbia River Gorge Waterfall tour takes you through some beautiful waterfalls including Multnomah Falls and is definitely not one to be missed.
9 am or 1pm, $69 http://www.wildwoodtours.com/gorge_waterfalls_tour.php
What are you excited to go out and do this weekend?
Also don’t forget that Friday, May 20 is the last day of our earring sale! (15% a pair with the mention of this post).
